We’ve got a cracker of an experience lined up for tour groups, with several activities on offer to keep your group entertained – all included in your visit at no extra charge!

Prefer to do your own thing? Self-guided tours are a great option too.

Plan to allow at least an hour for your group visit – longer if your crew fancies a bite in the café. (Café bookings are highly recommended.)

Discounted group rates apply automatically at checkout. Teachers, tour guides, carers, and bus drivers receive free entry.

We offer groups the option of a guided tour of our current exhibition, providing an in-depth and engaging experience at no additional cost. Please request this at the time of booking your admission tickets.

Yes! The Marion Storm Café is located within the Centre and is open 7 days a week from 9am to 3pm. It’s fully licensed and a great spot to relax before or after your visit. You’ll also find a gift shop offering maritime-themed souvenirs and locally made products.

We recommend at least 1 hour for your visit. Longer if you enjoy a deep dive!

Parking

Free Parking – 16 designated parking spaces along Gloucester Avenue entrance, plus plenty of on-street parking available in Gloucester Avenue, as well as nearby parking bays at the beach.

Accessible Parking – Two designated disability parking spaces are located near the museum entrance, please display your permit when using these spaces.

Bus & Coach Parking – We recommend dropping visitors at the main entrance, and parking buses and coaches at the beach-side parking areas.

Bike Racks – Cyclists can secure their bikes at the main entrance of the museum.

Car Rallies – Please get in touch with us to discuss how we can accommodate your special car rally vehicles.

Occasional Event Road Closures – Road access to the museum may occasionally be restricted during major community events. (approx. three times a year) Please check our Facebook pages for the latest updates.

Exploring Devonport

Named Australia’s Top Tourism Town in 2024, Devonport provides visitors with a range of unique attractions and leisurely walks from its iconic Bluff Precinct to the City Centre and beyond.

After exploring the Bass Strait Maritime Museum located at Joshua Slocum Park, take a leisurely stroll along Devonport’s picturesque foreshore, breathing in the invigorating, sea air of Bass Strait.
